These are a few of the more common questions we get asked by prospective clients considering using our services....

  • Q: What is the procedure if I contact you regarding accountancy or taxation services?
    A: We will offer a free initial consultation where we will find out your exact requirements. At this time, we will also offer a fixed fee quotation.

  • Q: Will you come to visit us for an initial consultation?
    A: Yes. It often helps to see your business, books and records, etc at first hand and we are always happy to invest our time without charge to show you what we can do and establish the volume of work involved. Of course, if you prefer to visit us, that's fine too.

  • Q: When and how soon can you come to see us?
    A: Whenever is best for you, we can arrange a consultation very quickly should you need somebody urgently.

  • Q. What kind of fees do you charge?
    A. We always work on a fixed fee basis, agreed in advance. Should the terms of engagement change (eg you wanted us to prepare you VAT returns), then we will agree an additional fee in advance. You will never receive a surprise invoice from us. Typical fees charged are detailed in the fee page of this web site.

  • Q: We do not claim to be the cheapest but are certainly not expensive and we strive to provide an exceptional service at a price which is fair to both parties. We do not reel clients in with low prices only to inflate our fees once we have them on board.
    A: You may also find that we can save you money by ensuring you take full advantage of tax opportunities and relief’s and by determining the most tax effective structure for your business.

  • Q: Is your fixed quote guaranteed for more than one year?
    A: We're not in the business of providing low quotes just to get your business for the first year and then raising the fees. We want you as a long term client who trusts us to do what we say we will do. We quote what we anticipate to be a fair fee for the value provided and would only anticipate normal inflationary increases if the work stays the same.
    Q: Do I have to pay every time I have a query or need advice?
    A: We appreciate that small business owners don’t have in house specialists, for this reason we offer unlimited telephone or email support for any queries you may have or possibly just a 2nd option on any decision you are making. This comes at no extra cost.

  • Q: I own a small business and feel that my present accountancy and taxation providers seem to have lost interest in me.
    A: We strive to offer a complete accountancy and taxation advice and offer our clients as much support as they need. We do not only focus on reporting historical transactions, but can strive to help you obtain business growth through the methods that we use and based on our experience. We act for a varying range of clients and treat them all in the same way.

  • Q: How long will it take for you to process my accounts?
    A: We understand that a business needs to keep on top of their financial situation and we aim to return your completed accounts within a timescale agreed with yourselves. Although this will always be dependant on how quickly you can provide us with the information that we require.

  • Q: Do I have to wait until my financial year end before changing accountants?
    A: You do not have to wait until the end of the financial year to change your accountant.  You can do this at any time throughout the year, however our business advice and tax planning is all about helping you change the future, not just reporting on what already has happened. Therefore the sooner you engage with us the sooner we can begin planning for the future.

  • Q: How easy is it to change accountants?
    A: Changing over to us is very easy. It involves just one letter from you and we take care of everything else for you. Your existing accountant is not usually allowed to charge you for providing the normal handover information.
